We have confirmed seats and e tickets to Fort Lauderdale for February from San Diego. I happened to look on line and UAL had taken to flights away and hadn't even told us. We cannot get to or from FLL. Supposedly they won't be flying there in Feb. However, their partner, USAirways does fly there, but United won't book us on it because we are on frequent flyer miles. So we are out of luck, too bad for us - they will not get us to our destination even though we are are booked and have e tickets. What to do??

I know Miami Airport is a zoo. But, since you're using an award ticket, going out of your way might be worthwhile in this case. Just try to avoid arrivals, or departures, between 7 and 9 AM, or, 3:30 and 6:30 PM (heavy traffic on the roads.) Weekends are best.
If UA wants a change fee, I'd tell them to stick their ticket where the sun doesn't shine, and travel with Jet Blue. Last edited by Butch Cassidy Slept Here; Jul 3, 2008 at 7:44 PM. |
