I had booked myself on an United Airlines flight from Greensboro-Washington-San Francisco on the 10th of April, Thursday. The flight from Greensboro to Washington (flight# 7120 UA) was delayed by several hours and therefore I missed my connection to San Francisco (flight# 225 UA) that night. The only next flight they could give me was the next morning at 7 a.m. which reached San Francisco airport only around 10 a.m. and my first meeting in San Francisco was for 9 a.m.! This meeting with my customer could not be rescheduled and I completely lost the whole purpose of the trip to San Francisco. Not to mention the very little sleep I could get that day because the incoming flight into Greensboro reached only very late night and next morning I had to back at the airport early.
Besides, I had booked a hotel for myself in San Francisco which went waste. Expenses : 1. Cab ride from and to the Washington Dulles airport: $75 2. Hotel charges in San Francisco on my credit card: $150 I have corresponded numerous times with United Airlines with a hope that they would compensate me in a fair manner, but my efforts have been in vain . I would like to urge my fellow travelers to think twice , or may be more before taking any united flight . |
