This is about my wife and two my two boys 10 and 12 and their flight to Romania(the operator was Delta Airline).
They had their initial flight from SFO to JFK on July 24 at 6:30 am but the flight was canceled due to "bad weather in New York"(when all other airlines were operating flights to New York).For them next airplane to JFK was TWO DAYS LATER on July 26 at 6:30 am.They got arrived in New York on time and had connect flight to Bucharest on July 26 at 5 pm.Everything went OK until this airplane tried to take off,apparently something broke down and and the maintenance crew had to change the part and there was another attempt to take off but same thing.After the third try and FOUR HOURS in that plain the captain decided to cancel the flight and sent my wife and my kids to a chip hotel along 21 dollars for dinner;next flight to Bucharest on July 27 at 1:30 pm. Next day another story;they had to wait in the airplane 4 hours from1:30 pm to 5:30 pm because of some rain and when finally took off,flew for 1 hour but they had to came back to JFK due to a MECHANICAL PROBLEM,so everybody was moved to another airplane and after couple hours of waiting departed at 11:10 pm and arrived to Bucharest on July 28,4:00 pm. I was wondering what should I do about this HORRIBLE trip?Where to complain?What to ask as a compensation of all these inconveniences? |

First this is a United Board, not Delta. Second what you need to do is either call or write their customer service with the story you have here, but you will need flight numbers, date, times, and reservation codes. This will make it easier for them to investigate your complaint, and most likely they will get compensated with travel vouchers, i don't think much else. But you can try.
