To obtain desired seats for party of four, grandparents and two boy experienced flier grandchildren, I logged on to web check in, 23 hours before the flight- web check is allowed 24 hours before- only to find that all seats had been blocked to me except the 6 back rows. Subsequent enquiries to Virgin Blue have elicited the following. We always put children at the back for passenger's privacy.
We can put you where ever we want. So we may control the weight and balance of the aircraft and achieve an even spread of guests throughout the cabin.
