We boarded almost an hour ago and we're delayed waiting for the captain to arrive. Incredible! How many plans will be changed because of this screw up!

Well, a lot more information is needed to understand the circumstances before you decide that AA were negligent. The captain could have had a heart attack, abducted by aliens or whatever... unlikely, probably **** poor management, but get the details before jumping...just in case!

Most likely the original captain for your flight "timed out." AA then got another to fly your aircraft. Would you be okay with a tired pilot flying your aircraft?

Th pilot's incoming flight could have also have been delayed arriving. How long was your delay?
