Default Allow Pet Reservations to be made together with Passenger's

Dear AA,

My wife and I are a retired bi-coastal couple with pets. We've travelled on A A with these pets four times. All of the regulations regarding pets make sense, except one. We can't reserve space for them until we get to the airport, where they are allowed on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Since there are limits on the total pets allowed on a given flight, the possibility exists that we may not be allowed to take one or more along.
This would be disastrous. We would have to cancel the flight and try another. It is a two and a half hour drive to the airport at both locations, so we would have to find a place to stay with them, etc. This situation could easily be remedied by allowing pet reservations at the same time as for people.

Please consider changing this policy.

Sincerely,

Paul & Stacey Duncan

This sounds like a real good suggestion! Have you sent this to the customer service dept?
