Air Tran is apparently profitable, at least for this quarter. What I find amazing is that there is no serious talk of the demise of American Air, United, or US Airways. According to the Yahoo "Finance" pages the stock of these three carriers has been trading at less than $15 for a year or more. Trading at this level can only indicate consistent losses for the past year. What are these carriers running on? Fumes?
