I am Delta-skymiles member. I took went to Sydney from Mumbai on sky team member airlines, Singapore Air. Every time while checking in, I presented my Delta skymiles card. After returning to Mumbai, I found that the Australia trip miles were not credited. So I scanned and send my boarding pass copies along with my e-ticket. Later I received a reply from Delta air that they do not accept scanned copies, I will have to post the original boarding passes along with the ticket. I immediately posted the same. After about one month, I inquired about the status of my miles. I was shocked by the reply of Delta Airlines. They said they did not receive any documents from me and asked me to sent it again. Now which airlines in the world issues two boarding passes for each sector? This is clear cut cheating. First they grabbed my boarding passes. Now I have no where to go. Please do not trust Delta airlines. They are cheat. My skymiles membership No. is 2190300802

Singapore airlines isn't a part of skyteam, they are star alliance. (there's also a star alliance symbol right on the home page of their website if you need to check) Maybe that's why your miles were not credited? Then again I use both and have frequent flier miles under a good couple of companies so I never run into that snag, but I would look into that.

Singapore airlines is Star Alliance member. Their logo is right there on the aircrafts

Exactly! That is why you couldn't claim awards from a Sky Team member.

If you have a frequent flier account with United or US Airways you can claim the miles flown on Singapore in those accounts. If there was any doubt about Singapore's alliance membership not only are they not listed on Delta.com as a partner and not only does the Star Alliance logo appear on Singapore's website but the Star logo is on the aircraft next to the door as you board the aircraft!
I'm surprised that not one Singapore employee told you they are not partnered with Delta when you handed them your SkyMiles card and that Delta simply didn't inform you of that fact in their first letter however to accuse them of cheating when you were never due the miles to begin with is a bit ridiculous. |

This is incorrect. Singapore Airlines does indeed have a Skymiles agreement with Delta. See my previous post.

Did I just spot a Delta employee being helpful to an employee?
I think I am hallucinating... I had better log off and go and see my doctor. (Although, as I am in Britain, we try to avoid going to the doctor, because as Fox News rightly reported, if it costs more than £10 to treat you they kill you). |

In early January I booked a trip for my wife using Skymiles. Delta charged me $150 because I booked the flight less than three weeks in advance. They cancelled the flight, and after two months of back and forth e mail traffic with customer service I've been informed the $150 fee is non-refundable. I find it hard to believe and have decided I am not going to take no for an answer.
I am looking for advice. Thank you. Rick |

Were they unable to provide alternate transportation within a reasonable time of the original dptr date?

The alternative they offered was the following day and because of the event and timeline, just would not work / was not practical for us.

I had Platinum Medallion System Wide upgrades, from 2009, which expired on Feb. 28, 2010. The rules on the back of the paper certificate clearly state, that as long as travel is TICKETED, the certificates are good. I used four of these by just giving the certificate number on the telephone, but on a recent flight to Athens, Greece, which had been upgraded using a certificate, the rules changed and the non customer service delta people said I needed to have turned in the paper certificate prior to Feb. 28. This did not apply on ANY of the other flights, and they were all after Feb. 28.
Delta offered no explanation, and no reason. Used to think they were the best, and it is a shame to see them so low in customer accomodation now. MM |

They cannot change the rules for contracts already agreed surely? I think you should go to the Attorney General in your state and ask them to take a look at this. Sounds dodgy. Delta really are terrible... why are people persisting in using them. They are an effective monopoly behaving the way monopolies behave.
