My plane arrived at 2:30 p.m. and it's now 11:33 p.m. and still waiting for my luggage to be delivered now only because I had to call the airport and make several complaints! They couldn't locate it right away and it was put on another plane by accident. How careless can Southwest be on this. I am outraged! I have to work tomorrow morning and have none of my clothes or make up! I am only hoping everything is in the my suitcases! The stewardesses were not very personable either. More visiting amoung themselves. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me coming from Las Vegas to Boise and can't believe it happened again. I am tired and they told me it could be 6 hours before I receive a knock on my door. So....no sleep apparently. Unbelievable how rude the people are on the phone like they really could care less. I can only hope everything is there when it arrives!

Loading a bag on the wrong aircraft is a simple human mistake. Have you ever made a mistake? I don't think they would load your bag on the wrong aircraft just because they didn't like you....We are all human...well, most of us are anyway. We all make mistakes.
Depending on where your bag went, where it needed to go, and how many flights there are, you would be really lucky to get your bag back the same day...I would say next day is more likely. Then once they have it, it could be 4-6 hours after giving it to the delivery service before you get it. The delivery service usually works for the airport and delivers every airlines bags, so they will not send a truck out just to deliver your bag. They will deliver it along the way as they are making other deliveries. Yes...I am an airline employee...NO I do not work for Southworst

According to the latest DOT data Southwest ranked #8 for mishandled baggage for June '09. They received 3.59 complaints for every 1000 passengers they carried. Although not the worst clearly not the best either. Year to date they are ranked #8 as well with 3.50 reports per thousand passengers. No improvement but they still haven't slipped.
It's not fun when it happens to you but no airline is or can be 100% when it comes to handling bags. I think it's a bit unreasonable to expect or demand that your bags be delivered within nine hours. It usually takes 24-48 hours and depends on were your bag was, or wasn't, sent and the flight schedule between where your bag is and where it needs to be. Then when it arrives there is usually some lag time before it is picked up by a courier service and delivered. As far as I'm aware Southwest has a decent reputation for delivering mis-routed bags within that 48 hour window. I'm sure your bag will get to you eventually. |

and everything was in tact, so that is good. But, very unfortunate this happened to me twice with same airline from same place. People do make mistakes, but loosing luggage is not a good thing.
