Becky Ngum - Ticket #: 1473925578829
Flight #s 801 and 287

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is with reference to the reservations made for my two children Gerald Ngum and Becky Ngum and myself on December 9,2009, from London (Heathrow Airport) to Douala, Cameroon via Casablanca, Morocco. This trip is very important to my family for my parents are having their 50th wedding anniversary on December 24, 2009 and my kids have a very important role to play at this ceremony.

On the above-mentioned day (12/9/2009), my kids and I arrived at Heathrow Airport on time for departure to Cameroon. When we arrived at the airport on time, however, due to certain circumstances beyond my control and delays at the ticketing counter, we missed our flight.

On that faithful day (12/9/2009) and the next day, I was informed by a number of your employees that there were no seats available for us from now until the 30th of this month. As a result, reservations were made for my kids and myself for December 30, 2009. However, I was misinformed by your employees that there were no seats available because I was able to reserve seats for my children and I to Cameroon on December 23, 2009.

This is my plea to you. That my children and my self be allowed to use the tickets (1473925578827, 1473925578828 and 1473925578829) for reservations made for December 23, 2009.
I know your company prides itself with fairness and good customer service. I also hope you will be able to resolve this matter as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Patricia Lobe

Sincerely,
Airline availability is completely dynamic. What would be the point of deliberately lying to you about available seats? You were re-accomodated (I'm assunimg without additional fare or fees since it was not mentioned) on what was at the time the first available date for all three of you to travel. Sometime in the interim someone must have cancelled their reservation(s) freeing up the seats you were able to see available on the internet. Instead of writing you should have been on the phone immediately to try to secure those seats on the 23rd. Again, availability is dynamic and by the time customer service at Royal Air Maroc reads your correspondence those seats on the 23rd will probably be gone.

It's unfortunate you missed your flight and that you may, as a result, miss your parents' anniversary celebration however stay on top of checking for available seats and call immediately if you see any available. Also I would suggest that you attempt to go to the airport on Tuesday and/or Wednesday (the least busiest days of the week) prepared to fly and see if they will put you on a stand-by list. Hopefully you'll find someone who is sympathetic to your situation and also there are no-shows which will free up some seats.

Good luck to you and your family.

Just to add...

I went to Royal Air Maroc's website and there are indeed seats available on the 23rd as well as the 14th from Gatwick and again on the 16th from Heathrow however those available seats are in business not economy class. If you purchased economy class tickets I'm afraid you'll have a tough time convincing the airline to upgrade you to business class when it was you who missed the original flights.
