Default Seats moved

Upon returning from Florida after the first week of the year my wife and I were moved apart on the full flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Detroit. My wife had just finished chemo treatments for ovarian cancer.
We used ther internet to purchase our tickets and reserve our seats. We chose two aisle seats across from one another in a bulkhead lane.
Just before takeoff a member of the ground crew was escorting a man into the area of the plane where we were seated. I over heard him tell this "gentleman" that he was sure he could seat him with "the others."
Lo and behold he crouched down by me and began to question me about what I had had to drink before getting on the plane. I replied that I had consumed a beer before boarding. Before he could take this discussion to its inevitable end I became agitated and told him was perfectly capable of opening the emergency door...(because I suspected his intention was to move me from my seat...a comfortable one and close to my wife). He responded with the threat that I didn't want to raise my voice to him. 911 seems to have given all airline employees a license to mistreat their customers.
They moved my seat and my wifes!!!!!
We later found out that the other two passengers next to me were pilots/co-pilots and the man taking my seat was also a pilot/co-pilot.
They moved two passengers from their assigned seats on the pretense of the ability to open the emergency door and separated my sick wife and I in seats that I would never have chosen. ALL SO THEY COULD SIT THEIR PILOT/C0-PILOT WITH HIS FELLOWS. I called Delta customer service and was told that the personell that moved us claimed, exactly as I thought they would, that they moved us so they could be sure that the emergency door could be properly handled.
I spent three hours hating everything Delta. If I can in the future I will once again enjoy the two day trip to Florida by car. Writing this makes me angry all over again!!!!!!!!!!

Default No delta

I too have experienced awful customer service with Delta. I really don't see how they have ANY customers anymore. I for one will never travel with them. Maybe we should "OCCUPY DELTA"...I also get angry just thinking about their rudeness. If anyone at my company acted with such disdain for PAYING customers they would not have a job. Why can they get away with it? Because we as consumers allow it by still using their service. Well not me and I will spread this all over the internet. Word of crap service reaches many that way.
