Thumbs down Transcontinental Flight Provides NOTHING

No movie. No TV. No Satellite Radio. No crappy bag of pretzels. No standard ear phone jacks (if there were something to listen to). And the coach seats barely recline. You offer not one single reason to pick your airline over any other but you charge just as much. It's 5 hours from PHL to LAX and you provide NOTHING. I'd rather fly AirTran. Hell, if I'm going to be nothing more than pressurized cargo I might as well fly Spirit.

Default Sounds like you were on a "red eye"

As I've said before, if...

* The flight attendant doesn't threaten you.
* Your baggage is on the carousel within one hour of arrival
* Your flight arrives within two hours of the scheduled time

then...

You've had a great flight!

For reasonably decent service, trans-con, you're limited to Washington/Dulles or JFK on Virgin America. Otherwise the service (or lack of it) you described is about the same with everyone.

I can go 12 hours or more without eating...what does that prove? If you went to a cinema and they had no seats and expected you to stand, would you just reply "what you can't go 1.5 hrs without sitting down?" if the customer complained. Some people will defend anything.

and some complain about nothing. this is what flying is now days. airlines cut back on everything. flying isnt what it was anymore. most airlines dont offer anything on flights. most airlines when you book a ticket it shows what is offered on the flighst..snacks, movie etc. thats one way to find out. or bring your own stuff. you say "crappy bag of pretzels" so even if they did offer you pretzels im willing to bet your complaint would be.."5 hour flight with only pretzels...are you kidding?" im not defending Us scairways in any form, but this is what flying is now...nothing. its a way to get you from A to B. if you want the crappy pretzels, yes next time fly air trash or someone else that offers them

You miss my point. Airlines that claim to be bargain try harder for my business and offer more tokens of service that airlines that claim to be full service...whatever that even means any more. Pretzels are irrelvant. Acting like they give two sh*ts that i fly their airline would be at least a nice gesture - fake or cheap as it may be.

Exactly.. I have had much better service on JetBlue and Southwest for example.. (so called low cost) than on "full service" nightmares like US Airways and the dreaded Delta. Furthermore, their prices are shocking and they provide a lower standard of service...

Fly jetblue then. They have reasonable prices, free snacks&drinks, personal tvs and radio, and first checked bag flys free.
