I was scheduled Sunday PM scheduled MSP to Jacksonville return Tues AM.
Sat 10 P: Log on to get boarding pass. Discover flight cancelled. I had not received any email about the cancellation. Website said it would help me rebook. Rebook link not functioning. 1045 Delta automatically books me to arrive Jacksonville AFTER I was scheduled to depart Jacksonville for home! 11 PM: Called Delta. "High call volume" 1+ hour on hold. Sun 12:15 AM Book flight to Orlando. Fly to Orlando, one way rental to Jacksonville. Tues AM: Snow in Atlanta is long gone but the airport, (Delta made a hub, depends on a hub, should be able to plow a hub) is closed. Flight cancelled. Call Delta. I am 1200 miles from home. Delta has me booked to fly 800 miles to NY which is 1100 miles from home. LaGuardia, worst airport in the US, is in the path of an airport. I tell Delta to fly me from Orlanda. New surchage is applied to rental car to get from Jacksonville to Orlando. Weather happens; this was a complete breakdown of ALL of Delta's customer service from cancellation notification, website rebooking function, phone lines, automatic rebooking and hub maintenance. |

Delta doesn't have customer service. It's customers told it clearly that it was not good enough and it went bankrupt. The government rescued it, gave it immunity to take over NorthWest and it emerged from bankruptcy the largest airline in the world. It was rewarded for it's appalling customer service and now treats its customers with total contempt. They simply do not care and you can only do one thing... READ ABOUT THEM ON THIS SITE.. AND NEVER FLY WITH THEM AGAIN.
