Default Delta NOT military family friendly at Milw. WI

Grandma & Grandpa were denied a pass to accompany their daughter (from Warner-Robbins military base in Georgia) her 3 month old & 2 yr old daughters to the gate at Milwaukee's Mitchell International...going thru security the 2 yr old bolted, mom was in tears trying to manage infant and luggage alone...a second request was made to Delta's agent, "please, can't one of us help her thru security to the gate?"...the agent's rude response was "buy your own ticket next time"..security at Milwaukee was helpful, and couldn't understand why Delta was being so hardnosed...
Grandparents make numerous trips to the Georgia base...but, no more Delta....Air Tran here we come.

Any airline can only issue so many security passes. TSA set the limit on that, and makes the rules.

Not exactly true. The airline can issue as many passes as they want. However, depending on the location, TSA has asked airlines to limit the passes they issue since it increases the burden and congestion at security. Most airlines can, and will, issue the passes if there's a reason for a non traveler to go to the gate.

When they can, airline employees love to blame the TSA, FAA, DOT and God. 9 times out of 10, they are lying.

Just like some people will blame the airlines no matter what, even when it's not the airline's fault.
