I opened a Gold Delta Skymiles Credit Card with American express under their promotion # 973646612 where you earn 30,000 (THIRTY THOUSAND) bonus miles if you spend $750 or more in qualifying purchases within three months from the date the card was issued.

I applied in November 2010. I got the card. And charged over $750 within the first two months.

I was credited with 20,000 bonus miles in December 2010.

Then nothing more.

I called in February 2011. I was told the 3 month period just ended so I just had to wait and the additional 10,000 bonus miles would be credited to my account. No such thing.

I called in April 2011; after so many transfers I spoke to someone at the SWAT team who said I was entitled to it, and that they would send over the paperwork and that I would be credited the additional 10,000 miles "within a few days". I asked that a note be placed in my file so I don't have to keep repeating the story. She said she would.

It is already June 7, 2011. I still have not been credited the 10,000 miles.
I called up and talked to a rather nasty SWAT Team member who first said that I should discuss it with Amex not them. When I insisted that it was a Skymiles issue, she said that she will first have to check with Amex if I indeed have spent the required threshold. And that she would call me back. She said there is nothing in my record to show how much I have spent or that I have followed up before.

I am so frustrated. Any tips on what I should do so I don't keep on waiting?
