I flew American Airlines from JFK (NY) to LAX (L.A.) on June 14. I got on the plane, took my seat in Row 28 by the window and within about an hour, I noticed a bump on my ankle and it started itching. By the end of the flight, I had 5 bites on my right ankle and 2 on my left. I believe them to be flea bites, received while sitting there. I wrote to American and their response was basically, hey we fumigate our planes every month, and we guess it's just tough luck that you were bitten.
I will now check the flights on Jet Blue before I will fly American again. And for the lat 30 years they've been my favorite airline. |
