Unhappy Fair weather airline

Son had flight cancelled in late December because of blizzard...yet other airlines were flying (FLL- JFK). Daughter and husband had flight (FLL - JFK) Monday 8/29...getting to JFK 2ish...JETBLUE cancelled... Can get them out Thursday eve HPN - JFK...Why does JETBLUE cancell on Monday, when other airlines are flying into JFK and weather is perfect? Never again, JETBLUE. You will be BLUE if you want to JET on JETBLUE, the fair weather airline.

Ummmm All NY airports are closed due to Hurricane Irene. There are currently tornado watches for NY. Per the Mayor over the last 2 days, all airports were too close @ 12:00 on Saturday 8/27 and remain closed until after the storm passes. Once the storm has passed, then there still has to be an inspection of the entire airport to make sure nothing is damaged / broken and only after that and the all clear is given, then will airports re-open.

Please refer to the "Hurricane Irene - Impacted BlueCities" Travel Alert tab for more information on affected cities.

Customers may rebook new travel through Tuesday, September 6, 2011 by calling 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) prior to the departure of their originally scheduled flight. Customers with cancelled flights may opt for a refund. Original travel must have been booked on or before Thursday, August 25, 2011.
