Default Spirit airlines experience


I booked a flight on Spirit Air leaving for Ft. Meyers Beach Florida on 10/4 with a connecting flight through Detroit to Ft. Meyer's Beach. and returning 10//11

Apparently the connecting flight was cancelled by Spirit on Sunday with no notice or accomodations to their customers. I booked through Orbitz. They are issuing me a refund, but to take my trip I had to book at last minute with an extra $125 fee over the original ticket pricing to booking at the last minute.

I would like to get the $125 extra fee back as well, and Spirit will not do it. No customer service and no notification as well.
