Philippine Airlines Gives Shaft to Customers
Waited at the luggage belt for 1 hour for a bag to come off the flight from HK to Manila. Finally, asked attendant at other end "Where are the bags?" "Oh,
[/B][/B]you are transfer passengers; your bags come off last." Fortunately, our connecting flight was not until 2 hours later. We were told to take our bags to customs desk and then they would check and ok them for flight on to our destination. We took the bags over and placed the customs form on desk. Without ticket looking at our luggage the customs official stamped our form--took exactly 3 seconds. I could have had an elephant in my luggage or 20 boxes of Mexican cornbread! The customs deck served no purpose whatsoever.
Same trip--Checked in at ticket counter 2 1/2 hours before PAL 098' Manila to Hong Kong. (business class). A group of PAL owner relatives were group checked (1person checked 20 people in at head of line) They said Tan-the owner didn't give a ----about what we thought. PAL (Philippine Airlines) has the most rotten service of any airline anywhere--from a whole travelor with 7-8 intern trips annual
