Wife and I were trying to reserve a flight for her mom and twice during the booking phase, the website would kick us back to the home page. The thing that really freaked us out is when we tried to check out at step 5 (the part with the Visa verification sign up), it froze once and we went back to try again it started processing the ticket, but kicked us back to the home page without sending us to step 6. It's freaking us out because it's an expensive ticket and we don't want to have been charged twice. We haven't gotten any kind of confirmation email, but we're not sure what to do if BA double charges is when it's their webpage that is all wacky. Can anyone help?

Call Visa and find out if there are two transactions pending. Explain the situation and dispute one the charges. Send BA a detailed email outlining what happened and advising them you have been told by Visa that two transactions are pending. This should be relatively easy to resolve, but you must act contemporaneously so it is obvious that you were not making two purchases and just changing your mind.
