Thumbs down bullied

I will walk before I ever fly United again. I flew from Sea-Tac to Washington-Dulles and had 40 minutes to make my connection just to find out that they changed the departure gate w/o telling eight people trying to make the connection. This caused me to miss further connections in Atlanta. Then on my return trip I was ordered to leave the plane in Seattle because a women said I had pnemonia and was infectious. Because I coughed. I was given no recourse and threatened if I did not get off. I was not given any options other than the guy offered to "get some help" removing me. I was able to get on the next flight due to the efforts of a wonderful lady named Ardiss but I subsequently missed my next flight because of this unjustified action on United's part. I was not allowed to retain my baggage that they had aked me to check because they were overloaded in coach. This is a dispicable way to treat people and I was unjustly humiliated. I do not and did not have pnemonia like this women said and what right does this guy have to make a medical judgement and make me under threat deplane? I may have ingested too much pollen on my vacation but I was certainly not infectious. I will be writting to the BBB in Chicago for whatever good that might do.

Forget BBB, I would consult a lawyer. United's position is completely unsustainable. If they made a risk assessment that you may have an infectious disease which was transmittable and removed you from the flight, then fair enough. However, they totally undermined their own position by then allowing you to fly on a subsequent flight. If they believed you were infectious then they had no business allowing you to fly later, unless they had insisted on you being medically examined and cleared to fly.

I am interested in the remarkable ability of the flight attendant to diagnose your "pneumonia" without examining you or taking an X-Ray. This FA should be working in healthcare, saving lives and money, as clearly no medical tests are necessary when this FA is around.

I agree with Jim.
I'm curious about your story, though... If the airline decided that you were infectious and could not fly... why would they put you on the next available flight?
