Default ELECTRIC CHAIR on Delta's economy comfort seats! FLT 360

DELTA'S flight #360 from Manila to NAGOYA .. FIRST, there was no announcement about a DELAY of 8 hours...no signs at the gate..NOTHING! then...THEY FED US AND GAVE US REST IN A VERY GOOD HOTEL...VERY NICE.
but THE DELAY LASTED ANOTHER 7 HOURS!!...aFTER GETTING ON PLANE SOMETHING ELSE WENT WRONG and we sat there another hour!
I was in the new ECONOMY COMFORT SEATS which I paid extra for. They are nice and give more room..
But...because some LIGHT wouldn't work, we sat and sat and sat! SUDDENLY AN ELECTRIC SHOCK came up thru the seat and went clear thru my upper body! The lady next to me felt the same thing! We looked at each other in SHOCK and said "WHAT IS THAT????"
We told a stewardess (who looked at us like we were weird....they were all busy at this time ...so...maybe they were very tired too)
She said she would report it...but never got back to us....We were still waiting and waiting...so I asked another stewardess to report the problem. She came back with this answer!!!
"IT IS BECAUSE OF THE LIGHTENING ROD IN YOUR SEAT, SO YOU GOT A SHOCK...do you want to change your seat??"
WHA??? I looked out the window..".It's not raining or storming and not lightening...why do I have a lightening rod in my seat? Do all seats have lightening rods in them? " She felt we were both out of our minds,
though this lady and I don't look weird or act weird...we just met then
in the plane and didn't PLAN TO MAKE A FALSE ACCUSATION ABOUT GETTING ELECTRICALLY CHARGED!"
TO make it short: We got to Nagoya 3:00 AM..no trains. a friend had
to drive out one hour to pick me up. BE CAREFUL OF THOSE COMFORT ECONOMY SEATS. THEY CHARGE YOU TWO WAYS..Financially & physically!!!
I did complain to Delta about the delay...They gave me extra mileage.
I never received the $100 voucher they promised...They did apologise to me in an E mail...BUT they never apologised or mentioned the ELECTRIC CHAIR! SO WATCH OUT! CHALL

Well, customer service and Delta don't go together...but she offered to change your seat. That sounds like a solution. Did you take her up on that?

You should ask again for your award, but if they gave you an award for the delay and offered to change the seat...then that sounds like an effort to fix the problem.
