I don't believe they are asking you to "clean the plane". They are asking you to take YOUR trash with you. The seat back pocket and the floor is not where your trash should go. The flight attendants pass back an forth through the aircraft "collecting" trash during the flight, but you would not believe the amount of trash that is still left behind. Why do people leave trash in the seat back pocket? Give it to the flight attendant when they are collecting trash or TAKE IT WITH YOU!! It is not anyones job but your own to clean up behind yourself. They ask you to lower the window shades to help keep the aircraft cool. All of these things are just basic common HUMAN courtesy.
You wouldn't leave trash laying around your house, then don't do it in public...have a little respect for others.
