I booked my daughter's flight weeks ago from LAX to CKB. She confirmed 8:45 AM flight and printed boarding pass at 11 PM the night before. When she arrived at the boarding gate she was told the flight was cancelled and she was booked on an evening overnight flight to arrive here at 11:30 AM. We were to leave here at 8:15 AM for a wedding. They were able to rearrange her flight and get here at 9:30 AM. It meant sitting at LAX for 9 hours, arriving at Dulles at 2:30 AM with a 6 hour layover there.
When she asked about compensation for her inconvenience, she was given a $10 food voucher for the airport. I cannot even find a way to complain to United. |
