Default Delta Gives False Updated Itinerary Info

In December 07, I was scheduled on a Delta flight from Boston to JFK. From JFK, I was to connect to an int'l flight. While I was waiting to board, Delta announced that there was an air traffic related delay due to stormy weather in the Midwest. ( How this effect BOS to JFK I do not know) The Gate agent announced all passengers with connecting flights should line up to receive their new connections due to delay. My international flight left at 5:30. With the delay, it would be impossible to make the flight. At the counter, the agent rudely informed me that my flight would leave at 7:30 so I had more than enough time. I corrected her and told her my connecting int'l flight would leave at 5:30 and I would not have enough time. The agent then printed an updated itinerary which indicated that my flight would leave at 7:30. I insisted that it was wrong, that I was told by my int'l airline that my flight would leave at 5:30. The agent rudely said step aside so I can help the next customer. Guess what? when I landed at JFK I missed my int'l flight; had no connecting flight; and had to spend the night in NYC -all courtesy of Delta. BTW, a large majority of passengers on my flight that day had similar problems - Thanks Delta. All Delta personnel that I had dealings with on this matter was nothing but rude and unhelpful. Don't fly Delta!

The delay affects BOS and JFK because obviously the aircraft for your flights were coming from the Midwest.

That is one explanation: the other is Delta has a bunch of lying, uncooperative morons working for them, who don't hesitate to lie to customers and find the most nebulous connection to the weather to avoid paying compensation.
