I would like to record my deep dissatisfaction with American Airlines. On September 29th, 2011 me and my boyfriend were returning from a long trip to Europe and had bought tickets NY-RJ intending to get to Rio de Janeiro in the morning and get on another flight to our final destination in Brazil the city of Vitória-ES. Before boarding the screens showed different boarding gates confusing several passengers who complained because they had moved long distances at JFK for more than four times following the screens. I complained personally to the AA coordinator and he only said that the responsibility for the indication of the departure gates was the responsibility of the airport and that nothing could be done. The boarding was done on time but when all the passengers were seated we were informed that there was a technical problem in the oven of the aircraft and that we should wait for another 30 minutes. The status of the repair was being told passengers every half hour and only after more than three hours of waiting the issue is resolved. The information given by the pilot were translated by the crew so bad and rude. They served water and cereal bars only after many complaints from passengers. We arrived at the airport in Rio de Janeiro with great delay and lost the next flight. We were only able to reach the final destination at night, extremely tired of more than 12 flight hours and with several personal commitments lost.
