Boarded flight after 45 minute delay then sat in hot cabin for an hour. Plane then slowly taxied out of gate and sat on tarmac for 30 minutes. Passengers then informed that a crew member had now 'timed out' meaning they could no longer fly. Took another 45 monutes to get the plane back to gate and get a change of crew. (Seems the airline or crew could have calculated easily if one of their members was about to time out.) All the while passengers on a hot plane in 90 degree temperatures. Minimal contact or explanation from airline personel while episode occuring. Terrible customer service!
