Angry rescheduling not allowed after flight cancellation??

I booked a 1 stop flight connection STR-AUH-SIN and back KUL-AUH-STR. Due to a full cancellation of the codeshare flight between STR and AUH, which is operated by AirBerlin I was rescheduled on 2 stop flights STR-TXL-AUH-SIN, KUL-AUH-TXL-STR which means one more stop and a change in flight time.

Therefore, I contacted the Etihad contact center and requested to change the flight itinerary back to a 1-stop connection from an alternative starting airport (FRA-AUH-SIN, KUL-AUH-FRA). I was told that a "rescheduling team" will take care of this, which will take some days(2...3 days).
After 1 week and one more call to the contact center the flight was not yet changed to my demanded connection, and no reply was given to me by ETIHAD.

After one more call, the customer service told me that a rerouting is not possible within the terms and condition of Etihad. They can only offer a different flight time but not a different routing.
ARE THEY KIDDING !! I booked a specific flight as 1 stop connection from Germany to Asia, which was cancelled by Etihad, and now they do not even try to find a good solution for the customer. (moreover, it is really bad that I did not get any replys from ETIHAD, but had to call several times to get those informatipon)

'Dear ETIHAD, by this behaviour you will really generate dis-datisfied customers, which will not recommend you as a good airline."
