Flight attendant calling a customer of color "boy"...
While on a flight B6 795 from NY to TX (05/21/16), a white flight attendant called a grown man of color a "boy" in front of his wife and two children. When the man expressed his offense to the use of the word "boy" the flight attendant said that it was alright to call him "boy" since the flight attendant was older than the passenger.
There was an Economist article that questioned whether the word boy was racist, and discussed its historically racist origins. I think it is unprofessional for a flight attendant to call someone a "boy," what do you think?
