After years of being a faithful Jet Blue customer the time has come to say "NO MORE!"
No - you may not fly into JFK instead of LGA if you miss your flight without paying 100 additional dollars to be 10 additional miles away from NYC Yes - you will pay 100.00 for a same-day missed flight AND yes you will pay the additional full one way fare. Your total cost to fly one way from MCO to JFK - 319.00! Oh! Don't forget the 15.00 seat up charge fee we made you pay without asking. Yes - you can change your flight plans but you'll owe us at least 75.00 in change fees if not more. Yes - we can cancel your flight and not help find you another way home. No - we won't pay for your hotel or a rental car that you had to get because we cancelled your flight and – No - we won't give you a 75.00 "change or cancellation" fee when we change or cancel your flight. Yes - we'll let any remaining credit on your account expire without telling you about our expiration policy. We won't generate an email reminder to let you know it's expiring either (even though we send you an email every time one of our CEO's blinks)... Yes - we'll conveniently forget you've been a customer for years and that now your entire family has switched to Jet Blue as their airline. Yes - we'll ignore the nice emails you've taken the time to send in the past and we'll forget that you liked our company enough to promote it to others who either never heard of Jet Blue or thought about traveling with them not too many years ago when Jet Blue meant something to me. Yes - you're an unhappy customer and we don't care. We call you "hon" after you've sat on hold for 30 minutes only to tell you that none of the items you've called about today will be resolved in your favor. Goodbye. Go away. We could care less now that we have the big-dogs and are "taking the airline industry" by storm. Yes - you can stop being a customer at Jet Blue but NO! you can't donate your unused True Blue travel reward points to someone who still feels good about using your company. Sorry little small person who helped make us big. We don't need you anymore so could you quietly go away? And – one last thing, here's a nice swift kick in the gut to take with you when you go! Happy Jetting! kittyvibe (former Jet Blue devotee) |

Just when you think you've found an airline who quietly cares you realize it's just the same as all the others.
I'm so tired of all the excuses airlines offer. Bad weather, broken machinery, late crew etc.... but heaven forbid if you are late because of any of those problems too bad so sad, but you aren't going to make your flight. Talk about bad weather, I fly out of Cleveland or Pittsburgh in the winter, it doesn't matter what the weather conditions are, the airport runs you through de-icing a few times and off you go. Fog, no problem, visability, rain, you're off anyway. There are times when I wonder if we should be taking off. But JFK, wait, there was rain in Detroit yesterday, crew couldn't make it, sorry your plane was canceled. It goes on and on.... |
