We travel frequently with this Airasia and for the first time I actually had a computer bag stolen from the overhead locker on flight QZ521 Don Muang- Denpasar 27/8/2015.
I had read of a few incidents of this nature online and was aware to put my bags forward to where I was sitting if they didn’t fit overhead , but being a five hour flight you do occasionally do nod off to sleep…..…..Beware there are people watching and they know how to steal your bags from sight, especially if it is a small carry-on type bag which mine was……after 2 days of chasing up ….no one at the airlines seems particularly concerned with this… perhaps it’s a normal occurrence, I’m not sure………and I see this thing happening even more so in the future because they are getting away with it .
Dear Tony Fernandez or the powers that be.
Why not have CCTV installed in the Cabin……then if this does happen or anything else criminally happens, when Cabin Crew can’t be in the cabin, you have something to check on, as you will have all the details of the person in that particular seat……As of now there is no way of getting your stolen bags back from the overhead lockers as unless you catch them in the act.
So Fellow travellers please be aware this IS happening .….
Keep a close eye on your belongings as its not always possible to put your carry on bags above your head if someone has already put their bags there first. If anyone was on this flight and you saw anything suspicious please contact me.
Meanwhile I’m madly changing passwords and trying to protect myself from Identity theft as well…..
