We were booked on Etihad flight 485 Brisbane to London via Abu Dhabi on August 6th. Went to Business Class check-in only to be told that 'Someone' had cancelled/refunded our tickets (no refund deposited into our account however), so we weren't on the flight! They made us go and purchase New tickets to board their flight but as this was way too expensive (we needed to fly out that night as we were joining a tour in London the following day) we ended up flying with another airline. Tickets still cost an awful amount of money, not to mention the stress of finding no seats on a flight that we had booked and paid for over 5 months before. So far no compensation/recognition from either Etihad nor booking agent as both are blaming the other.
