Actually, this isn't all that unusual of a time frame for some of the airlines. It can actually take 6-8 months on some of the larger airlines to settle a claim, which doesn't make it right, but that can actually be the norm in some cases.
One of the bigger problems you are facing is the size of United airlines, and hence why you got the automated responses. It's no different than any other mega-huge corporation these days. They are simply too big to handle that end of the problem. |
