Gromit just said we have two ears and two eyes and only one mouth. I agree fully. We should be listening twice as much and looking twice as much as using our mouths. But here is Bob using his mouth to be on the phone, using his mouth to eat in a Bistro far from the gate, using his mouth to beg for vouchers and he just used his mouth to mobilize passengers to make a fraudulent claim. Now he will be using his mouth to explain to the Judge why he should not spend some time in jail. Remember the customers who found a finger at Wendy's. They got nine years in jail each. That's what you're now looking at Bob. I don't think Bob will any longer be an airline sympathizer as the airline has caused him to go in jail. Bob, in 9 years time when you get out, you can ask the Administrator of this site to remove the "Airline Sympathizer" tag.

airlinesmustpay, please read the WHOLE segment of what people are saying and its meaning in context, you see certain things and take it out of context and sometimes for what it is meant
people need two ears because listening has gone down the drain |

SilentBob, You did say something to the effect that you and other passengers would get together to lie against the agent to say that there were no announcements, in order to get $500 vouchers. It seems to me that the similarity to the Wendys finger case is that the customers there lied about finding a finger in their bowl of chili in order to make a false claim. You might have been joking, of course (although I don't hear you say so), but from how I see it Mr Airlinesmustpay is using whatever you say to poke some fun at you and he appears to be succeeding. |

Airlinesmustpay said he was called to the bar in Britain. The more he comments the clearer it becomes what kind of bar it is. He obviously stayed there too long to follow an argument or make coherent responses.
Silent Bob is right, he has been misquoted repeatedly. Most of what Bob said was in the context of what could happen under the AMP proposals, e.g. he could get a mob of people to lie about the announcement to get the $500.00 voucher. It neither indicated he would or intended to do so. It was merely an example. AMP lacks the coherent, logical, and consistent thinking one would expect of an attorney in his arguments and discussions. |

I'm sure in the time I worked for my wonderful employer, I did not EVERYTIME tell a passenger to stay in the gate area in case he/she decided to take a walk. I would also like to say that a passenger missing a delayed flight that he/she has already checked in for is extremely rare. I can't remember even 1 time where it happened on a flight when I was working it. But yes, AMP, I did advise pax to remain in the area, especially on weather delays unless they needed a restroom break. Did they listen?? I guess so cuz as I said, nobody missed a delayed flight I worked. I must have done at least one thing right.
The voucher issue you keep talking about. Computer generated vouchers, at least the airline I worked for, were valid for 24 hours from issue date at any airport or flight taken. They were not airport specific nor airport area specific. What if a pax wants a pizza and Pizza Hut is on the other side of the airport? Are they gonna demand we move gates or bring Pizza Hut closer? What if they don't like the vendors that are in the area?? Then as far as the agent collecting the vouchers after a flight? Are you serious?? This has to be a wind-up. Again, stick to law, AMP. I hope you're better at that than the potential you show as an airline employee.

Policy for the airline I work for, is that you are supposed to be on the aircraft NO LATER than 15 minutes prior to the departure time of the flight. At the airport I work at, local management gives us an extra 5 minutes to allow people to make the flight, so we have a local airport policy of being on the aircraft NO LATER than 10 minutes prior to departure. Once 10 minutes prior to departure as come, if you aren't boarded, we unseat you, and give your seat to standby passengers. If there is a delay, we tell people to stay in the gate area, as delays can often change. A one hour delay can become 30 minutes, for example, instead of an hour.
The way I do it, when boarding a delay. Once I board the majority of the passengers, to where maybe just a few are still missing, I will make a final boarding call, and call those passengers by name. I will then give them a few minutes to get to the flight. I will also note on my PA announcement that the flight will close in, for example, "three minutes". Once that three minutes has come and passed, if they don't show, I unseat them, and give their seats away. I give passengers every opportunity to make a flight, but I will not delay a flight, or delay a flight further, because people can't get to the airport, or the gate on time. |

Silent Bob This is what you said. You can get your fellow passengers to state that the agent did not announce for you to stay near the gate. This is a fictitious scenario in which scenario you participated and where you were a passenger. And what you were clearly saying that in this scenario you "can" get your fellow passengers to lie against the agent. It is only a question of semantics whether you used the word "can". If you did lie you would be in the same category as the Wendy customers - lying to make a false claim. If while going through airport security you say something like "I can explode this bomb" pointing to your bag you can be sure that even if there is not a bomb in the bag, they will not let you through security. If while in an argument you say, "I can get my mob to beat you", The fact that you use the word can and not "will" does not save you. You cant threaten to d something illegal. If you are charged you can try bringing your MIckey mouse lawyer from Orlando to convince the judge that you had no intention of doing it. But in a discussion like this, it is at leave a very inappropriate remark to make to say you can get your mob to do something that is in effect to make a fraudulent claim if you actually did it.It shows the kind of person you are |

Sinbad, I didn't say i would get a mob to lie against the agent "just to do it", I said what I said in response to a already hypothetical situation (Airlinemustpay pretending to be an airline rep). Read everything slowly and yee shall understand.
What I find most curious and I think others will to is how you both seem to have this strange ability to pick things out of a paragraph and somehow take it completely out of context to what was said..... dare I say that you are one and the same? I think given the evidence from the discussion it would appear so. Or have you both banded together just to get a rise out of the group? It would seem the only thing you have done is shown your ignorance by ignoring simple forum conduct, which is "read before you type". Like why would you reply to something and not know what we're talking about and then take a phrase and twist it in such a way as to "attempt" to make the other person look bad, again, sadly it doesn't. Not only do you lose credibility, but you make it so no one will respond and/or ignore you. So if you wanna keep playing this game, be my guest. I'm just gonna sit back with my cocktail and enjoy the fallout of both you (or just the one person) being the laughing jokes of this board. And believe me... you are. |

By the same reasoning, you Silent Bob, Mars and the Mickey Mouse lawyer must be one and the same person, because you three are dishing up the same garbage, no doubt with the same agenda. Or what do you do, call up each other to decide how you could get together to discourage passengers from getting redress? Nothing any of you three say make any sense and I cant believe you are really that dimwitted. Maybe its too many cocktails and these are the ravings of a drunken man. You keep on complaining of being misquoted. What does the words, "Why cant have a voucher" mean? Like a little boy tugging at his mommy's skirt and saying "Why cant I have an ice-cream?" what does he mean other than that he is begging for an ice-cream. If your "Why can't I have a voucher" does not mean that you were begging for one, you have not been able to say that you did mean? If it did mean something other than that you were begging for a voucher, you would have been able to say what you did mean. So just try to complete this sentence: "When I said 'why cant I have a voucher' what I really meant was ... " You really can't can you? When you sober up after your cocktails, try again. Why are you telling me that you did not say that you would get a mob to lie? I didnt say that you said you would? I correctly quoted you as saying you can You didn't answer me when I said, if you say to airport security that you can explode a bomb, they will not let you through. People (at least decent people who are not drunk on cocktails) do not say that they can do something that is illegal. You keep on saying that your words were taken out of context, but in the very context what did you mean? You have not said that your words mean anything other than what you said. I know it is a fictitious situation but in that fictitious situation you were told that the airlines record their announcements and if you were not careful they could call security for you. What you nitwits need to realise is that people come on this site to get ideas as to how to go about getting compensation, not to see airline stooges trying to put a stop to complaints? Do the airlines pay you Silent Bob for the work that you do here? What I do not understand is why the administrator of this site tolerates these consumer adverse posts from you and mars and mickeymouse. They shoudl kick you three off this site, and let you form you own "DefendTheAirlines" site, and leave this site for people who are complaining and members who genuinely want to assist them, and not diehard airline supporters, who have another agenda other than assisting passengers. All you have done here is to regurgitate the same garbage and say to read the statment. Are you still under the influence? Or are you just plain stupid? Don't you see the points I raised? I have read your statement. If you meant something other than what the words, "Why cant I have a voucher" meant, why cant you say what you meant. Is it that you mean that you were not begging for yourself but just voicing that some passengers woudl beg for it? If so, what the heck does it matter? It is all a fictitious scenario, or did that escape you? The bomb question has everythng to do with what you said, and so does the Wendy's finger case. Mickey Mouse sought to defend you by saying that all you said was that you can do something and that you didnt say you would. I tried to point out to you (but You may not have been sober - and I accept that as an excuse) that it is just a question of semantics if you use the word "can". You simply can't threaten an act that would be illegal. I used the example of the passenger going through security saying in jest that he had a bomb, because this actually happened and the passenger was not allowed on the flight and was instead arrested and charged even though he had no bomb and so could nto have intended to do it. True Mickey Mouse may have been in he Magic kindgom when he made that post, but let him know of the actual case. I dont want the Administrator to do anything like kicking you off, that is their call. I just dont understand why. And I didnt say everyone. I said you Mars and Mickey Mouse. So far those are the three I see talking absolute rubbish, trying to dissuade passengers from making legitimate claims. If the Administrators want people like you and Mars and Mickey Mouse here so be it Maybe they want passengers to see how stupid airline sympathizers are. |

It's sad that you still don't get it. But hey far be it from me to tell you otherwise. Like I said if you wanna keep playing this game, go right ahead, you only hurt yourself in the long run. And as far as the kicking off comment, actually you were the one that brought that up.
Wow your so pathetic that you don't even read your own comments. Are you now taking your own words out of context? Has it really gotten to that point? Sorry dude the only person who is showing any stupidity is you, and your alter-ego Airline. |

It seems you really are a dimwit. Its not just the alcohol. Maybe the alcohol destroyed your brain. Yes it is my view that the administrators should kick you off. It doesn mean that I want it. Its their call. I'm not going to ask anyone to kick you off. I'm now trying to find a reason why they keep posters like you on what should be a consumer oriented site. They must think your presence here fits in with the overall objective of the site. And I conclude that it shows customers what idiots airline stooges like you are |

I think you oughta take what you just said and apply it to you, now your even backpeddling your own statements. Now that's funny lol First you want us kicked off, now your saying you don't and resorting to name calling, who's showing their stupidity? *points to sinbad* two, this is an open forum, if you don't like it you can leave, no one is forcing you to stay.

I didn't backpeddle on anything. When you sober up, read what i said again. I only expressed the view that you have no businness here with that airline defence nonsense. If your airline defences were constructive, I could understand, but they are absolute nonsense and could only come from a brain damaged by alcohol. Seriosly, you keep on talking about your drinking. Is it that you want help for your drinking problem? Well if it is I am totlly sympathetic. But you are on the wrong site. Isnt there an Alcoholics Anonymous in your area? |

First you misconstrue my words, then your own words, backpeddle off your own statements and then bring my drinking into the conversation (Just like when your brought up the bomb scenario? LMAO!!!!!), which has nothing to do with anything, again you simply don't get it. Look quit while your ahead, really. You're making it worse for yourself. It just shows how childish your being and really, doesn't help your case, only hurts it.
So its over, reply if you want. But you have lost. Just pack it in, go outside and get some fresh air (just as I am about to do) and try again on another topic, because clearly you can't handle this one. Clearly! Pathetic. |

All you can say is "You misquote me" "Look at the context" "You lose" "You fail" "Sad" "Pathetic" and I can't forget "I'm drinking cocktails" You have not been able to say what you really meant when you asked why can't you get a voucher or that you can get your mob to lie to the airline. If you meant something other than the real meaning of the words you woudl ahve been able to say so. And you still dont get it the bomb scenario was to show that if you make a threat to do something illegal, you can find yourself in trouble, even though you did not say that you would do it or had any real intention of doing it. But you are too much of a numbskull to figure that out. Can't the airlines get anyone with sense to come in here to defend them. You three clowns are in effect doing them a disservice and I am more and more convinced that this is why the administrators allow dunderheads like you to post on this site. |
