It is unfortunate that the airlines puts customers in such a position by either not having some commmon sense rules or failing to enforce the rules. Passengers should not save seats when they are on a first come basis. The flight crew never hesitates to be assertive when their ox is gored and will have you tossed off the plane or arrested in a heartbeat. Ihave come across some very incredible flight crews who are very helpful and fair and then I have run across the a-holes who would never have the courage to talk to you in such a poor manner if they met you on the street. I blame the airlines, not the people who post on these forums.
