I used to work for Southwest Airlines back in the 90's they have changed greatly since then. I have friends that still work their and they hate it now. They still play the "We are different card". BS, they are the evil airline that they fought from the past. Southwest Airlines has become a giant and now they bought AirTran, so they can dismantle it and take over the business and monopolize the low fare market. Notice how Southwest Airlines is more expensive than other airlines now. They outsource their maintenance to South America and have been fines for numerous things from lying on their website about ontime to major safety violations. They fly their aircraft like taxis, early morning to late at night. I don't want to hear any more, airframe cycles. Lets live in the real world, you can not fly that much and not cut corners to make money and they do!

I hate SWA now because of all the changes they have made. They really seem like they do not give a S**t anymore about the customers as long as they can bring in the money. They enforce policy that was never enforced before, they have taken away customer options and flexibility, they make it harder to get rewards, they limit the seats for awarded passengers, etc., etc., etc.

SWA is no longer the airline they promote themselves to be. They are catering to the business class and the not-casual flyer on a budget. They want to be like the other airlines and be the big boy on campus. Well, you can be like the big boys and follow all of them to bankrupcy, delays, and angry customers. Hope that is what you wanted.
