Jon Joseph is a reverse racist bigot, I'm white and pulling the race card on this bigot!!! U can find his racist, discriminative nasty self around terminal D1, and if your young or white he will harass u!!! Accused my wife of being drunk and refused to let us enter flight when she had half a beer! My wife called him rude and he had supervisor charge us 300$ for flight change, supervisor was a rude Mexican and had an undercover tell me they didn't like my tattoos. Not to mention every plane they have can't pass an inspection and feels like a death ride everytime. The worst airline for everything from customer service, to ghetto plans and ghetto racist employee's and that's why flights cheap!!! I suggest boycott AA and spend the extra $100 to $200 for the professionalism of a elite airline like delta, continental, or jet blue!!! $&@# AMERICAN AIRLINES!!!

Ok, I'll bite... You are racist. The supervisors race was irrelevant to the story, you put it in because you are a racist. Describing someone as "ghetto" is racist, and you fail to back up your story with any evidence that this was race related. You are the one bringing it up and that is because you are clearly the one with the issue...

Guess I'm racist against racism... If I was anything but white they would have let me on the plane, but instead they brought an undercover cop over and said maybe it was your tattoos that he didn't like and that this guy is an undercover, and I said and...? He had nothing more to say except if u wanna catch the next flight u have to pay $300, at that point I realized the "Spanish" manager was just as racist as mr. Joseph, first time in my life I realized it was cause I was young and white they had no respect for me.... Believe what u will, believe I'm racist, I have friends of all races and always feel bad when they say they are discriminated against, but never knew how it felt til now, it sucks, there will always be people like that from all races. I use the term ghetto to descibe people of all races and so do my black friends, they don't have a problem with the word, and call white people ghetto, and there always will be people trolling the Internet

Unhappy... You picked a good name. Let's try this one more time. You have told your story a couple of times. At no time have you given any evidence that race was a factor in this dispute. Let's just say Mr. Joseph was in a bad mood, treated you unfairly and refused you boarding. Why have you injected race into it? Where is the evidence? He told you why you were denied boarding... In his opinion your wife was drunk. He could have been wrong, it might be unfair, but what has that got to do with race? The supervisor, (who has changed nationality mid story from Mexican to "Spanish") backed up hs employee. Again, this may have been unfair, but what has his nationality got to do with it.

You on the other hand keep injecting race into it, using pejorative language, and the almost comical last refuge defence of the racist, which I will para-phrase as "Moi, a racist? Some of my best friends are black". It's embarassing and you are not just racist, but stupid too. Stop digging!

Yawn, you don't get it. Each detail you add makes it worse. The undercover suggested it might be because of the way you looked...ie, covered in tattoos. That's not racist either, it's tattooist! Lol

The change from Mexican to Spanish which was intended to appease "PC" people like me made me laugh out loud. Being Mexican is not a negative thing, and being Spanish isn't more acceptable. The racism was when you ascribed their motives and actions on the basis of their ethnicity, with no evidence whatsoever.

You just had a row with two airline employees, who you think treated you unfairly. That is very common, and if you look at my posts you will find most of the time, when that happens, I am mostly on the side of the passenger. You decided not to deal with the issues, but instead focussed on their ethnicity. You did that because you were stupid. After your stupidity was pointed out by others, you kept digging and have revealed that this is not a one off act, but apparently a permanent state.

Maybe your right and we just had a row with two employees, or maybe there just discriminative against tattoos (which people can be), maybe they were in a bad mood, but when they tell you you're to late for the flight but then give away you're seats and watch someone else board, you wonder how come the plane still taxi and two people just took our seats, my wife at this point was crying and apologized for calling him rude, but he was so heated he told supervisor they want to call me rude so charge them if they want to catch next flight, at this point I ask to speak with his manager and that when he shows up with the undercover to intimidate us. Then when we were getting charged the lady from AA (the only nice one) actually said she was sorry they were charging us cause they could have just let us catch an open seat for free on a later flight. Now I say this, if a minority was being treated unfairly and has been refused service because and I quote "maybe it is how you look", they would probably take that as coming off racist and file a complaint as well, so I do believe we were discriminated against because of our race, sorry if u disagree but I respect your difference of opinion Jim. I'm an American and believe in freedom of speech that's what opens up dialogue and makes our country what it is

Well, I guess the lesson here is prepare for the unexpected! I was anticipating a flurry of abuse, and was very surprised by your response. Incidently, I don't claim this was NOT race related, just that in your accounts there is no evidence of it. Thanks for the surprising answer and the sentiment that lies behind it.

Maybe I made a bad description under a Pre tense of emotions, I appreciate the response I realize the faults of my writings but in no way intended to offend anyone, and on a side note I was going to Jamaica (which is beautiful), and the locals are really friendly but so poor it is sad. This incident opened my eyes more than I expected, and goes to show you can always learn something new everyday
