Default JetBlue is corrupted

We had same disappointment today. The chain delays on one flight, 2.5hours, then 3 hours, then 1h 50min. Excuse was weather conditions even 2 flights to same destination left on time in front of our eyes. The crew has no knowledge about what was going on. The airline is booking people on flights and changing without hesitation and not caring about the impact on the people. We are still in airport at 1am waiting since 5pm (flight was supposed to leave at 7pm and we were told to arrive 2h before.) 7 hours delay with no understandable explanation and still saying that it is due to bad weather while there is no current delays for several ours. I, myself will protest this corrupt airline and will go back to my previous airline, at least they are honest. Jetblue is not dependeble. Hope goes down in US aviation history, they do not match the expectation, they do not provide what they promise.

Is it possible that the weather delay was affecting your inbound aircraft? Sure the weather might have been fine where you were and at your destination but the aircraft operating your flight might have been coming from another city which was experiencing weather delays.

Whenever I'm told a delay is due to weather and the aircraft has not yet arrived I always find out where it is coming from.

i do know that if you were traveling into our out of chicago today or yesterday....good luck, blizzard conditions. if your plane was coming out of chicago, then yes it more than likely was the weather. we dont have passenger service out of our airport for our airline due to the service we do, but our plane was suppose to leave (empty) at 9am today, now its not leaving until 6pm because of the weather, the east cost (jet blue has a hub in new york) and northwest is getting slammed with bad weather too.

Default JetBlue Flat Out Lies-No Bad Weather

My 6 am flight from JFK to West Palm Beach was cancelled April 4th. JetBlue claims it was due to weather problems. They did not put us on another flight for 2 DAYS!!!!!!! It was wait 2 days or take a refund and cancel our entire vacation; lose money we already paid for rental car and hotel. So we went through the extensive rigamarole of changing rental car dates and hotel reservations; not to mention forking out a extra money for car service to the airport and explaining to my boss and colleagues why I will need an additional 2 days off from work. Monday morning comes around and our flight is delayed for 2.45 hours as we waited on the tarmac.
Could it get worse? Of course.

Our return flight--april 10th at 6:40 pm--was also cancelled. Again, we are told it is due to bad weather. However, since it is not the stone age, I can easily check weather conditions as well as any delays or cancellations at JFK involving other airlines. There were none and no bad weather. The problem is one of volume; JetBlue cannot handle the volume of flights coming in and are forced to cancel entire flights. A quick perusal of flights between JFK and W Palm shows systematic cancelled flights all week long, on the average of 2 flights per day. So it is JetBlue's position, as reiterated by several of its employees, that although every other airline has been flying all week between these 2 airports with no problems, JetBlue encounters an average of 2 weather related cancellations a day. Sure, how convenient.

So the reason I will not fly JetBlue for 2 major reasons: 1) it lies: Everything is weather related even when that is completely farfetched and contrary to other airlines flying the same route; and 2) you cannot rely on this airline to get you to your destination at all: JetBlue has no agreements with other airlines so that it can put you on a competitor's flight to, say, catch a connection, get to a funeral, not lose out on already paid for accommodations. JetBlue just tells you that you can get a full refund and it is not responsible because everything is weather related.

This is very disappointing... I thought JetBlue was one of the good guys, but what you say is true about systematic cancellation of flights over a week, then it seems they are turning into the Ryanair of the US. Contact the DOT and ask them to investigate if JetBlue are being dishonest about the weather delays and provide the details of the pattern of cancellations. The DOT can check and fine the airline if what they are doing is not honest.
