Delay after delay
My fiance and I scheduled our trip with United against our better judgment, as United is so often delayed, or cancelled. Sure enough, we got to Newark on Friday, November 09, 2012 and although the board at the gate said that flight 4354 was on time, it was after our boarding time before they announced it would be late. No plane, and no crew. Crazily, we had to wait for a crew to fly to us in Newark FROM Albany, and they didn't even LEAVE Albany to get to Newark until after our flight was scheduled to leave Newark. Who plans these things???
On the flight, we heard the announcement of them spending billions of dollars on eco-friendly equipment - what we want is just flights that we can count on.
We understand weather and equipment delays, but there were no weather problems anywhere on the east coast, just poor planning on United's part and blatant disregard for the schedules of passengers/customers. Two hours after we were scheduled to leave, we finally were in the air.
