Angry WHAT?? NWA has customer service??

I have attached a post I had entered in Nov. 2007. Needless to say NWA has disregarded me , as did Senator Kit Bond & Representative JoAnn Emmerson. I want to pursue this complaint, but how?? I need some help, some ideas that work. Following is my first post. I don't see too many new ones, PLEASE HELP, someone, PLEASE!!!

I was working on the island of Kauai, HI & suffered a neck injury which disabled my right arm plus all the crushing severe pain. I had return tickets to the mainland in 4 weeks and made the decision to return home to a physician I knew rather than be transferred to Honolulu. I was given Dr's excuses for emergency flight to mainland & I began attempting to change our ticket dates from July 29 to Aug. 3 and was refused repeated numerous times to change tickets. My sister-in-law was with me and I had to have help on plane (not from attendants which became quite obvious). The only reason they changed my ticket dates was because my son found empty seats on Expedia for their airline
& called me with the flight numbers. Even at that I didn't get off the island until Aug. 6. Since then I have had 2 cervical (neck) surgeries, PT 3 times weekly, many physician visits, medicine, etc. NWA just apologizes for the insensitive ticket agents, nothing else. Then I had to pay the extra $200 for ticket change. I have tried calling, writing letters, wrote my senators, etc. What do I do now? Those days of waiting are the reason I am physically unable to work (I LIKE MY JOB), personal care isn't easy, etc. Don't ever fly NWA & expect good customer service.

I am understanding you were attempting to change travel dates but were not able to get the date you wanted. Then finally did end up getting the date you wanted later on but had to pay for a change. What is it you're upset about?

I worked in HNL for many many years and I can tell you, the flights are full almost every stinkin' day. That is why you couldn't change from one day to another. As far as paying 200 dollars (100 per tkt) that is standard on all airlines to pay a fee if you change dates on most tickets. You have no complaint here whatsoever and any senators, etc. you are writing to are getting a good chuckle out of your letter. As did I.

As far as insensitive tkt agts, that may be true. After years of being crapped on by our company and expecting to smile while taking it, time has come to wipe the smile off and treat others as we are treated. I would love for someone like yourself to stand on my side of the counter for just 1 week. That is why I retired, people like yourself who complain about really nothing.

i have never had a bad experience with northwest. however i agree with the judge on this one. the agent had to follow policy and charge the change fee...so what? the flights to hawaii are always full=no seats for the date you wanted. some airlines would have made you pay the change fee+difference in fare.

Even I agree.. complaints which escalate to "I was in agony because NWA and then my house burn down and my car broke down, all because the agent charged me excess baggage" do a disservice to people with real complaints. The reason your Senator didn't do anything is because there is nothing to be done. It is 18 months since this incident.. it is time to let go, move on and consider therapy if you can't.
