Default Continental Sucks

Continental Airline can easily be categorised as one of the third rate airline in the world. On our flight from mumbai to newark (Feb 12th 2008)my son who had common cough was kind of "persona non grata "for the flight steward. We were told that due to our son's coughing it would be difficult for him to pass immigration at newark. What audacity from a trash of a steward? Also during the same connecting flight from newark to indy my son threw up in the plane (cough again) and we were asked to clean the seat. Service on the plane was appaling and substandard.
Most of flight crew were easily eligible for some kind of pshychiatric evaluation and were bunch of crooks in airline garb.

Darn right you should clean up after you son if he threw up. What kind of sicko would expect another person to do that? And you are calling the steward trash? Might want to think that one over.

Pattis you took the words right out of my... keyboard lol Is he serious? Flight attendents aren't paid to clean up your son's puke! That's your job, sir. And how is the flight attendent "trash" for stating that you will have trouble getting past immigration? If he was consistently coughing, yea they may quarantine him until they find out what was wrong (obviously that wasn't the case). Sir I think you are the one in need of evaluation if your son's consistent coughing, leading to vomitting, only encourages you to write a complaint against the airline, rather than get him medical attention.

Default Verdict still the same

hahah) nice to see someone so defensive about all this. Never in my post did I mention that flight attendants should be cleaning my son's puck. The same ground staff who cleans the toilet have special equipment to deal with this as well. Since this happened while landing at indy whatever visible puck was on the seat was cleaned by us.
The problem was the attendant came with gloves and sanitizer for us clean the remaining stains. Thats ridiculous. Also to your second response regarding coughing..airline attendant should be there to assist and ask if we need some kind of medication like cough syrup (tylenol etc) what happens at the immigration is between us and the immigration. They dont have any say as to what will happen if at all it happens and that to rudely. I stiil remember korean airline when i was flying from seoul to sfo and there was this elderly guy coughing..the attendant wasn't irritated infact she showed concern and asked if he needs some cough syrup or something..thats the kind of service i am talking about.
Also never underestimate consumers. Word of mouth and through blogs lots can be acheived..ppl dont fly certain airline just bcos there friends had some issue with service. Instead of defending start improving.

First, true the flight attendent doesn't have a say on immigration BUT if they believe your son's illness posed some kind of threat, they need only send a message to whatever airport they are going to and they can have you, your son, the entire plane quarantined. (anyone remember when SARS kicked in?). as for the vomit, yes ground crews do have equipment to clean it up... when the plane is on the ground. But while you're in the air yes you needed to clean it up, scrub it down, the whole 9 yards. It's bad enough enough to fly in a plane that recycles air, who wants to fly in a plane with a stench of vomit on top of that?

word of mouth can make or break a company, this also you are correct. But by your word, no one would take you seriously. this is not me taking the side of the airlines, this is me taking the side of common sense.

Well...it seems the defensiveness have exceeded its value and along comes with it rambling and bickering. This is no SARS so lets not twist this for arguments sake. That way I can twist this to the person who travelled to europe with contagious life threatening tuberculosis from here in united states (Atlanta to be precise). As you correctly said the same air gets recycled even in that plane. I hope they quarantined the whole plane))).
Having common cold and cough isn't punishable and it's a double whammy when the kid is just 4 yrs old. As far as my complaining not making sense is concerned well lets leave that to time and see how this word of mouth works.

Hello

It is a complaint for the very bad and the worst customer care I ever have seen in my life.
That was my first experience with continental before I was using Delta airlines and off course after that horrible dealing with passenger from a young attendant in the flight number 1776 that was flying from IAH, Houston at 7.15 pm to Philadelphia arrived at 11.28pm the date was January 4th-2011
she was so rude throw my bag on my leg and refused to help me putting my laptop in the luggage closet
and screamed saying sit down and I wanted a supervisor to come indeed another attendant which was so nice and helped me putting my bag there
The young attendant even can not give apology and she was acting so weird, she can not even behave with passenger with a nice way, she was so hostile, I do not know if she does not like what she is doing why she does that job then
I really want to get my right as she owns me of apology because such rudeness with people is unacceptable behavior and she has to know the rules to behave with people
